If you're shopping online for promotional items, you may have noticed that it can be surprisingly difficult to find great promotional products under $2 per piece. However, there are a few gems in that price range I feel comfortable recommending. Check out promotional items under $1 and promotional items under $2 for my recommendations.
If your budget allows for a $2-$3 price range, the number of options available to you increases dramatically. Of course, I still have a few favorites I'd like to share with you.
Why market your business with promotional products?
- Promotional products can help your business stand out from your competitors.

- Sending a promotional item after a purchase or referral is a great way to say thank you.
- If you have loyal customers (or employees), promotional gifts are nice to show your appreciation.
A few more things to consider:
Volume/quantity. If you're planning on distributing large quantities of items (at a concert, parade, festival, trade shows, or convention), you may want to consider lower-cost/higher-volume items. However, one strategy I've found effective is to keep a smaller quantity of more expensive giveaways on hand for high-quality prospects. People love feeling that they're getting something special, and if you've had a great conversation with a prospect, giving them a higher-value item may help you close the deal.
Campaign Size and Goals. Every marketing campaign is different, so determining how you allocate your marketing budget is key. If you have $1000 to spend, which scenario will work best for you?
- 50 items ($20.00 per item)
- 400 items ($2.50 per item)
- 1000 items ($1.00 per item)
If you're hyper-focused on 50 high-quality leads, you may want to go for a $20 item. If you're blanketing a large event, you may want to choose the $1 item. And if you're somewhere in between, a $2.50 item might be the perfect balance for you.
